Melody Gowns are a long established manufacturing and embroidery company based in North Tyneside.

They came to us because they had an old WordPress website that hadn’t been updated in a number of years, the site did basic e-Commerce but  was no longer secure and was broken, due to a lack of support and updates.

Basically, they had a semi functioning website that was loosing sales.

Having looked at the current site it was agreed with Melody Gowns that it was easier to scrap the original website and start again, this time making sure it was fit for purpose.

The design brief was to make it as simple as possible but with ability to customise gown orders.

We looked at several plugins but found one that is extremely customisable.  This allows Melody Gowns to offer a wide range of hair salon gowns and aprons and options on those garments.

The other big feature we had to provide was the ability to upload logos.  As part of their service, Melody Gowns, offer a logo embroidery on their garments.  Many salons want their capes and gowns customised.

We provided the facility that allows buyers to upload their logo’s into the Melody Gowns website.  Having this ability really helps close sales because it allows victors to the website, especially first time buyers, to complete their orders in quick and simple steps.

Melody Gowns wanted a soft re-launch of their website, it would give them a chance to talk to their regular client base to encourage them to use the new site and work out any issues.

Within 48 hours of the new website going live Melody Gowns received a significant order from a brand new client.  The site had performed exactly as had been designed and continues to do so.
